Mission Trip: Prague, Czech Republic
USM Wesley will be taking a Mission Trip to Prague, Czech Republic on May 14-23, 2017. Students will represent Wesley as they seek to be salt and light alongside the English Speaking United Methodist Church (ESUMC) of Prague (www.esumcprague.org). The church is the only english speaking United Methodist Church in Prague and was founded in 2012. The Czech Republic has a population of 10.5 million people, of which only about 2% are Protestants and less than 1% considered Evangelical Christian. Recent polling places the Czech Republic among the most atheistic countries in the world, with somewhere around 85% of the population refusing any belief in God. In most cases Czech atheism stems not from an active rejection of God, but from never giving any serious consideration to the issue; the question of God is seldom raised. There are many opportunities, including construction, renovation, English teaching, evangelism, and more for our team to participate in sharing the love of God with the Czech people.
Please consider partnering with us both prayerfully and financially. Each team member will be required to raise $2,100 to cover the cost of the trip. Donations to the trip can be placed by clicking the button below.
